Tyler's Explore STEM Camps
Discover the fields of information technology, life sciences, or engineering technology through hands-on experiences and experiments.   Whether you are interested in cybersecurity, biology, medicine, precision machining or welding, these camps are a fun way to try out the in-demand careers of the future.

Open to: Rising 10th  12th graders

Date: July 9 -13

Explore IT
1:00 a.m. -  4:00 p.m.
Cost: $175

The IT Exploratory Camp is designed for students to Explore and Discover Networking and Cybersecurity models and career pathways! Business, governments and hospitals collect a tremendous amount of confidential information on computers and transmit that data across networks.  Discover how Cybersecurity experts protect data, and learn about opportunities in this fast growing career field.  The best way to learn is to do it!

Explore Medical Sciences
9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $175

Explore the incredible human body through experiments, dissections, observations and a field trip!  Investigate the workings of the heart, lungs and blood while learning how infectious diseases and genetic disorders can destroy them!

Explore Engineering Technologies
1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $175

Engineering technologists focus on the applied and practical application of engineering principles as they make theoretical designs come to life.  Experience the application of electricity, advanced manufacturing, welding, HVAC and drone technologies! Experience the role of the engineering technologist as you bring an idea to reality.

Tyler's Experience STEM Camps
Experience Trail participants spend two weeks learning computer programming, first aid/CPR or the basics of precision machining  all in Tylers high-tech labs.  Participants can even leave camp with an industry certification!

Open to: Rising 10th  12th graders

Date:  July 9 - 20

Location: Tyler's Chester Campus

Experience IT & Earn a Certification
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $290

Learn and use Python to create Minecraft MODS. You will have the opportunity to create your own project, using Raspberry Pi.  Unleash your imagination and explore the possibilities. Students will also receive instruction from 9AM  12:30PM in Workplace skills and take the WorkKeys certification test.

Experience Medical Sciences & Earn CPR/First Aid Certificates
1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $290

A hands on approach to learn how to recognize critical emergencies and respond appropriately.  Students will receive certification in Healthcare Provider CPR from the American Heart Association, and First Aid from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute.  Earn credentials while building your foundation in medical sciences and the healthcare field.

Experience Engineering Technologies & Earn OSHA 10 Certification
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $290

As technology evolves and becomes more and more integrated into everyday life, the need for experts in precision machining grows.  During this experience, participants will learn the basics of precision machining, including how to use the machine tools safely.  They'll also get a chance to work with industry-scale precision machining equipment in Tyler's Advanced Manufacturing labs.  Students will receive instruction and test for their OSHA 10 certification.  Please email John Lipp at jlipp@jtcc.edu  for information on receiving college credits.
