Guitar-A-Rama - Evening Show
Evening Ticketed Show:  6:00PM

Doors open for the day at 12:30pm and will remain open until Guitar-A-Rama Ends. There will be FREE music and workshops at the Sly Fox Stage in the GoggleWorks facility throughout the course of the day. The workshops are an informal playing session where Q&A and back and forth is encouraged from the audience to the musician, etc.

This will be the 4th annual Guitar-A-Rama presented by Reading Musical Foundation! The program allows audience members to watch guitar masters perform in an intimate concert setting but also have a learning experience while being able to interact with the musicians one on one.

A percentage of the proceeds from each ticket sale will go directly to the host venue, GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. GoggleWorks is a community art and cultural resource center located in downtown Reading. The mission of the GoggleWorks is to nurture the arts, foster creativity, promote education and enrich the community.

Show Schedule:

6 to 6:30pm: Josh Taylor

6:45 to 7:30pm: Jay & Lee World Guitar Trio

7:45 to 8:45pm:  Alex Fox Trio

There is no doubt the culture of the guitar and related instruments like ukuleles has had significant impact on the culture of Americana, Country, Folk, Bluegrass, Classical, Rock, Jazz and related musical art forms both here in America and around the world. At the same time, America being the melting pot that it is, guitarist here have drawn from a vast repertoire of guitar styles to help form the foundation of what music in this country has evolved into.  Its a creative wheel that is in perpetual motion. This event is a celebration of the instrument and its players.

This program is tied directly to the Reading Musical Foundation's Olivets Boys & Girls Club Guitar Lessons After School project which gives high school students the opportunity to attend weekly music lessons and earn a Martin guitar if they have perfect attendance. The students, under the mentorship of Josh Taylor, will also perform at some point during the concert portion of the show. Past featured performers and mentors have included Grammy and Emmy Award winners.
