Event
60th Eugene Debs - Lucy Gonzalez Parsons - A. Philip Randolph Dinner and Dance Party
Join the activists and organizers of the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America as we celebrate another year of building democracy and socialism in Chicago! This year our historic dinner will include a delicious menu from Fig Catering, a cash bar featuring local beers as well as mixed drinks, limited edition posters, t-shirts and buttons for sale and a silent auction with amazing items!
We're pleased to announce that Rock Island, Illinois's Fifth Ward Ald and DSA member Dylan Parker will be our keynote speaker!
We've got two tiers of tickets this year: Non-member Banquet: $75 Member Banquet: $60 This ticket gets you two drink tickets and gets you into our cocktail hour, with local craft beers, classic brews, wine and mixed drinks, passed hors d'oeuvres and featuring a live performance by Chicago DSA's own jazz band. At 7pm enjoy a buffet dinner served by LOCAL CATERER and featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients (your choice of vegetarian or omnivore). We have cupcakes from Bridgeport's Ace Bakery to enjoy after dinner, and of course the bar is open until they kick us out of the union hall! After the awards and speeches, stick around to mix and mingle with DSA members, our speakers and honorees and enjoy the dance floor with our very own DJ Socialism!
Non-member General Admission: $45 Member General Admission: $35 This ticket gets you into the event starting at 7:30, and is standing room only during the speeches and awards. With local craft beers, classic brews, wine and mixed drinks on the menu, you'll enjoy our cash bar and cupcakes from Bridgeport's Ace Bakery, and of course the bar is open until they kick us out of the union hall! After the event stick around to mix and mingle with DSA members, our speakers and honorees and enjoy the dance floor with our very own DJ Socialism!
