In today's competitive construction market, there are almost as many types of project delivery methods as projects. By tailoring your project's specifications choice to the individual project and circumstances will help ensure success.

Key factors dictating a particular type of delivery method include budget, time restraints, risk, and level of quality.

Over the past 10 years, the Design/Build method has become the premier choice for many owners.

Whether you're an architect, consulting engineer or contractor, you should become familiar with the process and the required specifications that it takes to achieve successful results.

Objectives:
1) Attendees will understand the Design Builder's desired level of specifications that the design firm needs to develop for a successful DB project.
2) Attendees will be presented with the benefits of a Performance Specification and a Proprietary Specification to determine which is the best type of specification for a DB project.
3) With most of Division 01 of Master Specifications written for a design-bid process, attendees will clearly understand the architect / engineers role in specifying the required administrative procedures including contractual requirements and close-out.
4) In general, DB want to reduce the number of submittals to a minimum and minimize the number of "mock-ups". Attendees will understand the Architects / Engineers role in reviewing requiring submittals and "mock-ups"?
