Denise Dillenbeck: Yakima Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster, violin,
A superlative violin soloist...the highlight of the evening was Denise Dillenbeck playing the violin solo in 'The Lark Ascending' as if it were the last song in the world...Dillenbeck gave it a subtlety, honesty and vulnerability, with a rarefied tone that perfectly captured a soaring, singing bird...
The Tacoma News Tribune

Wachira's voice is a melding of rich sources from her childhood in Kenya, her Northwest home, and such American inspirations as Tracy Chapman and South African activist Miriam Makeba. Her music & songwriting brings together harmonies that speak across continents and cultures.
