Home Cheesemaking
Innisfree Farmstay and Retreat / Scotch Hill Farm
Brodhead, WI
Share this event:

Join Dela Ends to learn how to make simple cheeses at home. After many years of raising goats, we think our goat cheese rocks. We'll make cheese with our goats milk as well as demonstrating making cheese with store-purchased cows milk. We will make simple queso blanco, mozzarella cheese and soft cream cheese.

Children (ages 12 and over) are welcome with ticketed adult and own paid ticket (for each child).

A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.

About Innisfree Farmstay and Retreat / Scotch Hill Farm

Pioneers in organic farming for more than 20 years, Scotch Hill Farm raises certified organic vegetables, herbs and flowers for their CSA (community supported agriculture) on a family farm. Chickens, sheep. goats and pigs add to the farm's diversity.  Goat milk soap and natural skin care products are made on the farm.  Surplus veggies are canned for the CSA and winter market sales.

CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS.  SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.

On behalf of the South Central Chapter of the Wisconsin Farmers Union, thanks for participating in SOIL SISTERS. Since this is an annual event, we invite you to share your experiences on our Facebook page or other social media you use. Of course, we're always looking for ways to make your experience better, so let us know what we did right and what we could improve upon. Hope to see you back again next year where they'll always be something new to taste, animal to meet or soil sister to greet.
