Buttons Over Bullets
You are cordially invited to attend our free event, Buttons Over Bullets, an anti-gun violence artist series curated by Everytown featuring 11 collectible peace pins from artists across the country.
Since pinback buttons were patented in 1896, people have used them
to express their opinions and rally support. Buttons start conversations, advocate for causes and promote projects. Wearable expressions are a simple but powerful way for anyone to convey their beliefs. It takes a lot of courage to literally wear your heart on your sleeve. But by doing so youll create community and engage in dialogue with those who oppose your beliefs.
Every day, 93 Americans are killed with guns and the gun homicide rate in the U.S. is 25 times higher than that of other developed countries. Gun violence in the United States is something worthy of conversation and this button series will get people talking.
Join us in the conversation, refreshments from our friends at Half Acre Beer Company, and to collect all the impactful buttons in this series.
