Puget Sound Recognition Roundtable

Good day!

You are invited to the Puget Sound Recognition Roundtable on Jan. 25, 2018 from Noon to 1:30 p.m. hosted by Clark Nuber in Bellevue, WA. Doors open at 11:45 a.m.

This session will focus on the critical role managers play in building a strong recognition culture and how we can encourage their participation.

Tracy White, CHRO, and Angela Oakley, Learning and Development Manager at Clark Nuber, named 2017 Best Place to Work by the Puget Sound Business Journal will kick off the session. They will share the results of a recent survey of their managers and action steps the firm is taking in the recognition space.

Then we will engage in a facilitated discussion to explore the following questions:
1) What can we do to set leaders up for success in showing appreciation to people?
2) Do leaders understand the business reasons for giving recognition and see it more than "just a nice thing to do" or a program? How do we communicate that message?
3) Beyond a recognition program, how are managers provided with training and tools to express appreciation in meaningful ways?
4) What are some ways we can hold managers accountable for practicing recognition in everyday interactions with staff -- without it being 'forced'?

The registration fee of $35 (plus a small service fee) includes lunch and validated parking. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are non-refundable but substitutions are welcome. Space is limited, so register early!

The Recognition Roundtable is an informal group of employee recognition practitioners and other HR professionals who meet to share ideas, tools, and strategies to build stronger cultures of appreciation and great places to work.

This is the first of several sessions to be offered in 2018 in the Puget Sound area.
