WASSAIL 2017 A Solstice-Christmas Family Celebration
Each December in Austin a wonderful community of artists come together to create the magic of Wassail: a Solstice-Christmas Family Celebration. Each year Wassail's features a different culture, and this year it's all things Texas-Czech! It's a family-friendly variety show of clowns, magic, music, puppets, plays ... and polka! Featuring Darwin Machu, Julie Moore (clown), Bucolics Anonymous, Magician John Maverick, Jubilee and Frances Barton, The Pratts Bottom Mummers, and MUCH MORE!
All proceeds go to Kids for Kids, a charity for children in the Darfur Region of the Sudan.
This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department and Texas Commission on the Arts.
Built in 1871, Austin Scottish Rite Theater is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to share and preserve the historic Masonic facility, serving the greater community through high quality performing arts, educational programs, and events.
