This production is the fourth in a series of collaborations between Toy Boat Theatre and UW Tacoma, featuring socially relevant and inclusive plays about current issues in American society. This production contains adult themes and language; suitable for high school and older.

In 2002, Suzan-Lori Parks wrote a play a day for an entire year; in 2006, more than 15 American cities, including Seattle, Austin, Los Angeles and NYC, with over 700 theatre groups, collectively and simultaneously performed all 365 plays between November 13 2006 and November 12, 2007. We will be performing a selection of 30 of her short plays, which explore American history, the military, politics, relationships, race, spirits, riffs on well known works, jaywalking, and an appearance by The Supremes. Suzan-Lori Parks has recently released  a collection of plays written during the first 100 days of President Trump's time in office. We can't wait to bring you some of these; stay tuned!
