Robyn Spangler in "The Billy Barnes Songbook"
Los Angeles actress and singer, Robyn Spangler will return to Arthur Newman Theater following a tour of her previous show, Why I Love Linda Ronstadt, which she performed here in June of 2013. Her newest show, Remembering Billy Barnes, tells his story of how 1950s Hollywood flocked to his innovative and original musical revues like; Billy Barnes People, Billy Barnes Hollywood, and Billy Barnes Party. Those shows introduced numerous newcomers to future stardom, as well as his own successful career on television as musical director on such shows The Carol Burnett Show, Sonny & Cher, and Rowan & Martins Laugh-In. For Ms. Spanglers show on November 19th, her musical director, Todd Schroeder will accompany her on piano with Billy Barnes compositions, Something Cool, Have I Stayed To Long At The Fair and more.
