Jane Austen Birthday Tea
Don your smartest Regency gown or frockcoat and celebrate the life of Jane Austen with a feast for each of your senses!
Partake of the delicious tea prepared by Beth Sogaard Catering. Peruse sumptuous gifts at the Austen-themed silent auction and Friends of the Sacramento Public Library book sale. Experience the music of the Regency era during "A Very Innocent Diversion" with guest speaker David Bell, singer Catherine Fagiolo, and harpist Beverly Wesner-Hoehn. End the afternoon with English country dancing set to live music by Quite Carried Away and with instruction by caller Kalia Kliban.
Doors open at 1:30, tea is at 2:00, and dancing is at 3:00.
