Four Mondays
Funded in part by a 2017 Project Grant from the Regional Arts and Culture Council and the generous support of KBOO Radio, FOUR MONDAYS is an original radio play written and produced by Sunny Bleckinger. FOUR MONDAYS takes place over the course of four Mondays at one of the last saltwater bathhouses in 1980's San Francisco.
In an alternate San Francisco where car crashes are a constant and the rain never ceases, the Crystal Plunge is a refuge of solace and quiet, an indoor swimming pool blanketed in steam. Even though they can barely see their surroundings Samuel, Marty, Edna, Kasper and Shannon still have plenty to discover about each other.
At equal turns funny, moving, strange, surreal and beautiful, FOUR MONDAYS is unlike anything youre likely to come across this year. On December 1st at Shout House in Portland, Oregon, FOUR MONDAYS will present its only public listening presentation of the play, with lighting choreographed to match the audio by Italian theatre producer Arturo Martinini and music by Paper Gates.
Starring Lorraine Bahr, Sunny Bleckinger, Keia Booker, Kurt Conroyd, Monica Dailey and Adam Randall. Casting by Dainichia Noreault.
Beer & wine will be available for cash purchase.
Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7pm.
