Sine Nomine presents Breathe Out
As the seasons turn, the evenings darken, and there is a chill in the air, we think of returning home for the holidays... or of gathering in front of the fire with friends... or of choral music!
Sine Nomine, a contemporary chamber ensemble founded in 2006, invites you to kick of the holiday season with a concert of choral favorites. The changing weather inspired the programming of Alissa Bair's "Angel Breathing Out" and the John Rutter "Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind." Singers in the chorus requested encore performances of the Greg Jasperse "Voice Dance" and Z. Randall Stroope's "Soulspeak." The concert is rounded out by the stunning Eric Whitacre song, "A Boy and a Girl."
Following recent tradition, we end the concert the week before Thanksgiving by hinting at the coming holiday season, this year with the delightful "Nutcracker Jingles," a play on the Nutcracker Suite.
