What is the Grad-Night Event about: Two of the highest risk nights for high school students are Prom and Graduation Night. Peer pressure is highest on these two nights. The philosophy and ideals behind the Grad-Night Event are interlinked with providing an event that is safe, sober, and fun. More than "just a party" the all night Grad-Night Event is a long-standing commitment & tradition by Lake Stevens High School parents & community to organize a great, "once in a lifetime" event and provide a fun option to keep our graduating seniors safe. The Grad-Night Event is alcohol and drug free, parent chaperoned and security is provided. It builds a spirit of togetherness among the graduates as they celebrate with old friends for one last time before they part ways. A sense of community is developed as parents, school and community work to keep the graduates entertained, fed and safe on what is potentially one of the most dangerous nights of their lives.
Grad-Night celebrations can only succeed with the commitment of parents and the generous support of the community! The parent committee is actively working to raise funds for the Event. Through fundraising, we are able to keep the event ticket cost down through discounted tickets and provide scholarships to students from families with limited means. We are looking for auction items, gift certifications, monetary donations, wine and many other donated items for our Auction. All donors (those identified prior to booklet printing cutoff) are acknowledged in our auction booklet, on our Facebook page, on signage throughout our auction, and will be acknowledged in the Lake Stevens Ledger following the auction.
