A thrilling love story set in the world of big sport from the director of the internationally acclaimed Little Rose. The story is based on the life of Jan Banas, a famous midfielder of a Polish National Soccer Team during communist times. Born German, Banas became a Polish soccer legend by scoring winning goals and fascinating fans with his talent. His life, with all its ups and downs, however, illustrates that the path to glory is not easy.
Jan Banas (Mateusz Kosciukiewicz), Polish of a German descent, grows up in Silesia. From his earliest years, soccer is his greatest passion, and his best friend, Ginter (Sebastian Fabijanski), is his greatest competitor. Over time, the friends rivalry goes from the backyard to the stadiums of Silesias championship soccer clubs and then goes beyond sport when beautiful Marlena (Karolina Szymczak) enters the lives of the young stars. True emotions emerge. When they both court her, Jan and Ginter quickly discover that there are no rules in the game of love. When a serious injury brings Ginters career to an end and brings Jan closer to fulfilling his dream of joining the national team, Banas faces a difficult decision that will color the rest of his life.

Od dziecinstwa jego najwieksza pasja jest pilka, a najwiekszym rywalem oddany kumpel Ginter (Sebastian Fabijanski). Z czasem rywalizacja przyjaciól przenosi sie z podwórka na stadiony Slaskich klubów Polonii Bytom i Górnika Zabrze. A to nie koniec ich zmagan. Prawdziwe emocje zaczynaja sie, gdy w zyciu gwiazd sportu pojawia sie piekna Marlena (Karolina Szymczak). Walczacy o jej wzgledy Jan i Ginter szybko odkrywaja, ze w grze o milosc nie obowizuja zadne przepisy.
