BLACK CLOISTER MUG CLUB (ORDER) EVENT/SWAG-RENEWAL MEMBERS
This is the official website for registering as a Black Cloister Brewing Company Mug Club (ORDER) member. ORDER members receive exclusive benefits AND SPECIAL ITEMS as described below. The membership renewal event ends on October 9th Membership registration expires September 15th, 2018.
As an ORDER Member you will join a special community of the Black Cloister Brewing Company that has exclusive benefits.
SWAG FOR MEMBERS:
A custom made for Black Cloister ceramic 64 oz growler. Black Cloister in cooperation with the artist at Grayling Ceramics in Kalamazoo, Michigan has developed an ORDER ceramic growler. The growler has a grosh flip top lid with a replaceable seal to keep your Black Cloister beer as fresh as possible. The ceramic will naturally keep your beer chilled to the proper serving temperature. The inside of the growler is white so that it can be easily cleaned. These growlers retail for $88 and are a limited edition for ORDER Members only.
Included in your ORDER membership is a $15 Black Cloister gift card for you to use towards filling your growler!
The ORDER membership is still driven by your ORDER challenge coin. We encourage you as an ORDER member to carry the challenge coin at all times (see Rules of the Order). We will have special evenings in September when ORDER members have unique access to some of our seasonal releases. After you renew, bring in your challenge coin for this year's stamp.
Additional membership benefits include:
Priority reservations to all official Black Cloister tastings, food-pairing events, and, release parties. Black Cloister events (where ORDER Members will receive priority) are going to be scheduled at least once per quarter again this year! Many events will feature substantial discounts for members of The Order.
ORDER Members will periodically have at least a 24-hour opportunity to taste new Black Cloister Brewing Company beer releases prior to going on tap to the general public. We will communicate these opportunities for a pre-release as many times as possible.
A 15% discount on any merchandise purchase.
As new food menu items arrive, a 10% discount for ORDER members.
The Wittenburg Room is a unique, private space providing service to parties of 20 or less. Reservation of the Wittenburg Room to enjoy drinking Black Cloister beers with a group on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday requires a $50 reservation fee. Normally this is a non-refundable fee, but for Order of the Cloister members who show up for their scheduled reservation, the fee is refunded.
Access to the Order of the Black Cloister-members only Facebook group/ email list, where you will get early bird information about upcoming events, releases, beers coming on tap, and exclusive information on whats going on inside Black Cloister Brewing Company. These communications will foster you becoming part of the Black Cloister community.
An exclusive, Order of the Black Cloister members only anniversary celebration where you will be given the opportunity to sample some special beers and provide input to help us make this group even BETTER!
Cost= $100 annually (tax included), No price increase!
We commit ourselves to the rules of The Order.
The rules of the Order:
I understand that The Order of the Black Cloister is the mug club of the Black Cloister Brewing Company . All the benefits of membership are exclusively the rights of the member and cannot be transferred. Any attempt to do so may result in excommunication from The Order with no refund of my money.
I understand that charter members of the ORDER will be designated as Original members. They will be designated by a gold shield on their shirts.
I understand that, at any time, in any place, a member of The Order may approach another member of The Order requesting to see their challenge coin of membership. If they cannot produce it, they must buy the inquiring member a craft beer.
I proclaim that, given the choice, I will drink local, craft beer.
I proclaim my allegiance to craft breweries, especially to the Black Cloister, and I will share that allegiance with all my beer loving friends.
I proclaim that when the opportunity arises I will seek to convert the consumers of those false beer idols to the superior quality and taste of craft beer.
I proclaim that I will practice the responsible enjoyment of craft beer, recognizing that contentment is found in savoring the flavor, aroma, and body of beer while practicing moderation.
I proclaim my support to the philosophy of Great beer with a great purpose. I will seek to model that in my life through acts of kindness (i.e. buying a stranger a beer, giving to a charitable cause, volunteering for a non-profit, or anything else that would encourage the growth of goodwill in my community).
