SITI Thought Center Presents: COLLABORATION CONVERSATIONS
As SITI dives into our fall season of SITI Thought Center events, we have launched a new series, called "Collaboration Conversations". Collaboration has always been at the heart of SITI's work. It is in the way we develop new work as an ensemble, our partnerships with other artists and thinkers, and our dedication to international cultural exchange. This fall, SITI is hosting a series of "Collaboration Conversations" with our Co-Artistic Directors Anne Bogart, Leon Ingulsrud and Ellen Lauren where, with some very special guests, we will discuss the principles, challenges and opportunities that collaboration entails. Please join us in our Zeisler studio for these stimulating evenings.

Our next "Collaboration Conversation" will feature Helene P. Foley. The Claire Tow Professor of Classics at Barnard College, Columbia University, she is the author of books and articles on Greek epic and drama, on women and gender in Antiquity, and on modern performance and adaptation of Greek drama. Her books include "Ritual Irony: Poetry and Sacrifice in Euripides", "The Homeric Hymn to Demeter", "Female Acts in Greek Tragedy", "Reimagining Greek Tragedy on the American Stage", and "Euripides: Hecuba". She is the co-author of "Women in the Classical World: Image and Text", editor of "Reflections of Women in Antiquity" and co-editor of "Visualizing the Tragic: Drama, Myth and Ritual in Greek Art and Literature" and "Antigone on the Contemporary World Stage".

On November 14th, Ms. Foley and Anne Bogart will discuss collaboration: particularly regarding SITI's upcoming production of THE BACCHAE, to premiere at the Getty Villa in 2018. We are excited to have Ms. Foley's expertise as we build SITI's interpretation of this persistently pertinent play, and we are thrilled to be inviting you into our process!
