Just Enough Fund Wine Tasting Dinner & Silent Auction
Join us for a delicious Wine Tasting 5-Course Dinner and Silent Auction to benefit locals Burnley Cook and Joe Beal
Just Enough Fund, Inc. is a local non-profit charitable organization, created to help those in our community who make just enough to support themselves day to day but not enough to handle their problem/ opportunity and too much to get help from the normal agencies and organizations that exist. Each year we identify a local individual or family and fundraise for them with a goal of $10,000. Just Enough Fund will not restrict itself to assistance with health issues - it might be helping someone get an education or training to follow a dream.
Burnley, a Manteo resident, has a good prognosis to achieve and stay in complete remission from leukemia. Recovery time could be anywhere from 9 to 12 months. Just Enough Fund will help cover Burnleys expenses and get him back on his feet and back to work.
Joe Beal lives in Kill Devil Hills and has been a local for more than 20 years. He has 2 children. In October of 2016, he ruptured 3 discs in his back and even after surgery was unable to return to truck driving. Joe started an online business that would allow him the flexibility to see his doctors, work a less physically demanding job, and better manage his pain. Since he is not working, any money he can earn must go for living expenses and he, therefore, cant practically grow his business to get back on his feet. Just Enough Fund has decided to help Joe with his living expenses so he can invest more of the money he does earn back into his business and get to a point where he can financially support his family once again

Our criteria for those we are looking to help:
Not able to get help from support organizations because they already make just enough to be turned away.
Need help to improve their life going forward, not for end of life care/expenses.
Able to help themselves, but need that extra bit to help them through their problem/or to seize an opportunity to improve their life.
Willing to get involved, be exposed, be a part of the fund raisers for this year and beyond.
Live in Manteo, Roanoke Island, or OBX proper preferred.
