What the heck is Music, Myth, and Morsels?
MUSIC will be 18th, 19th, and 20th century chamber music for strings and piano.
MYTH will be stories and poems selected to amuse and move you.
MORSELS will be mysterious, multi-sensory elements designed to charm and inspire you.
Performers:
Holly Eckert-Lewis, creative director, violinist, pianist, and orator, holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music and has played with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera. She is also on the soundtrack to the original Halo video game and the soundtrack to the cult classic "Bring It On." For a small bribe, she will tell you the original title of the film. By day, Holly is a corporate trainer with a local HR consulting firm.
Linda Scott, violinist, was a member of the Charlotte Symphony for many years. A Seattle native, she returned to her roots around 20 years ago and subsequently subbed with groups such as the Seattle Symphony and Opera, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet orchestra. Currently she maintains a private teaching studio and arranges music for string ensembles.
Thane Lewis is principal violist of the Tacoma Symphony and a member of Northwest Sinfonietta. In 2000, his biography of violinist Steven Staryk, Fiddling With Life, was published by Mosaic Press of Toronto. He has backed numerous touring stars such as Pavarotti, Rod Stewart, and Kenny G.
Rich Eckert, cellist, is a nurse, but also a doctor (of music). As an RN, he currently works for Evergreen Home Hospice. As a doctor (of music), he has performed with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. He is currently an active member of the Windsong Trio. Rich has recorded albums with the Bird Tribe Orchestra, and has recorded extensively for feature films, such as The Incredible Hulk, Valkyrie, and, most recently, Wonder.
Keziah Eckert, orator, is in ninth grade at Nathan Hale High School. She enjoys reading, playing the cello, and spending time with her friends and family. She recently rescued a dog named Peaches that she has been enjoying caring for. Her favorite subjects are Language Arts and Orchestra.
