John Patrick Shanley's Outside Mullingar
Anthony Reilly, a few years past his 40th birthday, has lived on the family farm in rural Ireland his entire life, but isnt sure where he truly belongs. Rosemary Muldoon, a few years younger than Anthony, has lived her entire life on the neighboring farm. She is certain of where she should be and with whom. When Anthonys father decides to sell his farm to a nephew in America rather than leave it to his son, Rosemary must marshal her strength and patience to overcome family eccentricities and a minor land feud to bring their situation to a satisfactory conclusion. John Patrick Shanleys OUTSIDE MULLINGAR is a compassionate tale of the heartbreaking but funny as hell romance of two eccentric souls told with poetic passion, and is directed by Kevin Smith.
