Dos tipos de cuidado (Mexico, 1953)
Two old friends fall out when one marries the girlfriend of the other. A comedia ranchera, Dos tipos de cuidado features legendary film stars Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete, who do battle in a famous musical duel in which they trade clever insults and double entendres.

Una familia de tantas (Mexico, 1949)
A door-to-door salesman convinces the daughter of the house to buy a vacuum cleaner but because they spoke without a chaperon her traditional Mexican family is thrown into turmoil. Alejandro Galindo, trained by Hollywood director Gregory La Cava, serves up a melodrama about the clash between religious and cultural values in postwar Mexico.
