Midwest Cannabis Education
The Midwest Cannabis Education conference is managed and sponsored by MJ National Consulting. Based out of Chicago, MJ National Consulting is owned and operated by patients, caregivers, and canna-moms who personally know the undeniable benefits of cannabis.
We strive to bring people and organizations together to promote diversified education, awareness and collaboration in the industry. Our goal is to build a foundation of support for the community through reliable resources, educational events, and national business opportunities with dedicated individuals who are passionate about this great industry.
The Midwest Cannabis Education conference is the first of its kind in the Midwest. With the extensive medical cannabis advancements that have developed over the last decade, it is time for the Midwest to catch up and bridge the gap. Please join us to hear from top industry professionals who are helping patients all over the world to relieve pain associated with specific conditions. This will also be a great opportunity to get to know and network with other local patients.
Speaker Biographies:
Mara Gordon is Founder, Aunt Zelda's, Calla Spring Wellness, and Zelda Therapeutics. Mara specializes in the development of treatment protocols utilizing Bio Pharmaceutical grade cannabis extracts for seriously ill patients.
Prior to Aunt Zelda's, Mara worked as a process engineer, helping Fortune 500 companies create intelligent software by utilizing the Rational Unified Process. This experience has enabled her to take a detailed and scientific approach to utilizing cannabis as a Bio Pharmaceutical-grade treatment
Gordon sits on numerous boards. She has presented at multiple CME-accredited medical conferences, including Patients Out of Time 2014, 2016, and 2017, as well as medical cannabis conferences in more than 10 countries. These include CannMed held at Harvard Medical School in 2016 and 2017, CannTech 2016 in Israel. Her work is featured in the upcoming documentaries, Weed the People, Mary Janes: Women of Weed, and in Joe Dolces book, Brave New Weed.
Mara Gordon is also acting Advisor to the 2017 Midwest Cannabis Education conference.
Cristina Sánchez is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). Her research focuses in describing and understanding the molecular mechanisms responsible for cannabinoid antitumor action. She's a member of the Spanish Cannabinoid Research Society Board of Directors, and one of the founders and current Secretary of the Spanish Observatory on Medicinal Cannabis.
Joe D. Goldstrich, MD, FACC is a retired cardiologist who now specializes in the medicinal use of cannabis. He creates therapeutic cannabinoid protocols based on his experience and published clinical and preclinical scientific evidence. He is the Medical Director of Callas Spring Wellness & Zelda Therapeutics and sits on the Board of Directors of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians.
