Avant Garde Hair Show 2017 Call for Entries
RULES & DISCLAIMERS:
1. The Avant Garde Hair Show Fundraiser is open to hairstylists with a current Michigan Cosmetology License or current student with proof of enrollment.
2. To enter, you must complete the attached registration from, submit registration fee, along with a signed waiver by BOTH hairstylist and model.
3. Final deadline for postmarked entries is Tue., Oct. 17 - or online by midnight Tue., Oct. 17, 2017.
4. Only one (1) hairstylist, per one (1) model. Hairstylists may enter more than one (1) model with additional registration.
5. Winners consent to the use of his/her name, photos and likeness for publicity/commercial purposes without further compensation.
6. Personal information provided by contestant, such as name, address, phone and eMail will not be sold or shared with any third party. This information is treated as confidential.
7. Guidelines and expectations included need to be followed otherwise prize may be forfeited or participant will be disqualified. Family-friendly G or PG clothing.
8. A Beautiful Me reserves the right to modify the contest rules.
9. All registration fees are final and non-refundable.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Entry is limited to licensed Michigan Cosmetologists and Cosmetology Students. Must include state license # or proof of enrollment.
2. IMPORTANT! Rehearsal attendance by hairstylist and model on Monday, October 30, 2017 promptly at 7:00 pm at Zuccaro's Banquet Center, 46601 Gratiot, Chesterfield, MI. Rehearsal will provide hands-on understanding for the night of the event for both stylist and model.
ENTRY & REGISTRATION FEE:
1. Entry must include registration form, release form, state license # or student enrollment, and payment made payable to A Beautiful Me. Register online or mail to: A Beautiful Me, PO Box 381, Washington, MI 48094.
2. Register Fee: $25.00 postmark by 09/06/17
$50.00 postmark btwn. 09/07/17-10/09/17
$65.00 postmark btwn. 10/10/16-10/17/17
3. Registration transfer fee of stylist OR model after 10/17/17 - additional $20 fee will apply. New info and fee must be postmarked by 10/17/17 to participate.
STYLIST GUIDELINES & EXPECTATIONS:
1. Stylist must provide female model (minimum 15 years of age) with complete Avant Garde Hair to the theme: OUTER SPACE (Galaxy)
2. Stylist services must be no cost to the model with the understanding all is donated as a contestant.
3. Stylist must arrive at Zuccaro's Banquet Center, 46601 Gratiot, Chesterfield, MI on Sun., Nov. 5, 2017 NO LATER than 3:00 pm. Tardiness may constitute forfeit. NO electrical touch-ups available.
4. Stylist must be present during fundraiser on Sun., Nov. 5, 2017 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
FEMALE MODEL GUIDELINES & EXPECTATIONS:
1. Model must be a minimum of 15 years or older and donate time on Sun., November 5, 2017 as a Hair Salon representative for the Avant Garde Hair Show Fundraiser for A Beautiful Me.
2. Model must participate in the runway show at 4:30 pm.
3. Model must, at all times, be in the understanding that they are a representation of A Beautiful Me and the stylist. Appropriate actions and modeling is expected, or will be disqualified.
EVENT GREEN ROOM:
1. ONLY registered models, stylists, and A Beautiful Me volunteers are permitted in the Green Room.
2. Models & stylists will receive light appetizers and refreshments while awaiting the hair show.
