The Dance Collective aims to empower female dancers and choreographers to give them a voice and an equal opportunity. Performing at Hog River Brewing on Sunday, November 5th, 2017 at 7:30pm.
This performance highlights the work of various female choreographers and dancers from across the United States. A bill consisting of solos, duets, and group performances; dancers will surround the brewery, conveying themes of empowerment, strength, and more. The choreographic artists that will be presenting are Jillian Foley, Katie Bittner, Jane Krantz, Meghan Dodd, Abigail Corr, Dana Mazurowski, and Marjorie Gross. Keeping the evening casual and cool, come join us and grab a pint while you sit back and enjoy the performance!
The Dance Collective, founded by Jillian Foley, provides performance opportunities for female dancers and choreographers to collaborate in diverse performance settings. The driving force behind Foleys conception is that because of the vast amount of women in the dance world, women deserve more opportunities to dance, choreograph, and be leaders. In addition to this, Foley believes in exposing dance to a wider audience by performing in casual venues.
The Dance Collective at Hog River Brewing on November 5th at 1429 Park St, Hartford, CT 06106. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. You will receive a free drink with purchase of a ticket!
