Acting and Singing with Archetypes : October 21st and 22nd 2017
This weekend workshop provides an exciting way to expand and liberate vocal colour, range and expressivity. It uses movement, imagination and story-telling to access a wider range of vocal qualities and expression through exploring figures that inhabit the worlds mythology, such as The Huntress, The Trickster, The Child, The Mother, The Crone. These archetypes are not character or caricature but a particular aspect or quality in all of us.
This workshop will be of interest to singers, actors, drama therapists and those involved in creative performance. It can also be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of previous vocal experience as long as they are willing to explore and discover through movement, imagination, story-telling and vocal play.
Frankie Armstrong has been teaching voice workshops since 1975 and has been developing Archetype Workshops since the late '80's.
Frankie is the inspiration and guiding light behind the NVN. It was founded as a consequence of her belief in singing as our birthright. She is an extraordinarily experienced singer and teacher. Check out her website here www.frankiearmstrong.com
