The Vienna Burning Ball "Art Décadence" on 17 January 2015
Let us whirlwind up from our couches and summon in one place and one night in the heart of Vienna: a club in the former red light district and now clubbing area will be our playground. Be art déco, jugendstyle, steam-punk, or just simply decadent. Bring your art, a costume, a show, tassels& trims, a smile. Art Décadence happens when you surprise everyone with your contribution.

Vienna, town of kinky love-letter author Mozart and capital of Austria invites you to a gathering in the spirit of the Burning Man principles, spoiling you with plenty of opportunities to mingle:
Saturday at 14:00 Workshops
Saturday at 21:00 Doors open to the Vienna Burning Ball 2015 "Art Décadence" at Weberknecht, an underground place in the heart of Vienna, Lerchenfelder Gürtel 47-49, 1160 Wien.
Sunday - enjoy a relaxing day or an afterparty with burners in Vienna and dive into the real art déco wonderland.

Vienna Burning Ball is organized entirely by volunteers. Although we charge for tickets to cover our costs and provide art grants, we do not make a profit and even the organizers pay for their tickets like everyone else. Join us and be part of the magic!

Don't think, not even twice,
but read on how you can entice:
Are you dandy, dancer, top-hatter, singer, DJ, musician, or simply awesome as you are? Does a stage make you shine? Perform! The Drunken Sobriety Cabaret (featured at Nowhere 2014) is open for you. Write to performers@viennaburningball.at to reserve your time and spot.
Are you an artist at heart? Do you have ideas that you want to bring to life? Write to art@viennaburningball.at . If you need money to pay part of your material for your art project or performance, a share of the entry fees is reserved for that. Describe what you want to do and contact us. Apply for an ART GRANT up to 300€ / 70% of your costs until 15th Dec 2014.
Are you decoratéur, builder, hacker, welder is happiness a warm glue-gun? Employ your skills, make this space a cozy place. Make this Ball your own and spend an hour volunteering. Greet guests, help building up and tearing down, communicate to your friends, bring costumes for the aesthetically challenged, bring face&bodypaint, take responsibility as co-organizer, or help managing the event, do your part to make art décadence happen. Our hosts at Weberknecht support us in exchange for serving beverages for money. Please respect our agreement and do not bring any beverages.
We leave no trace: if you bring it to Art Décadence, take it home again. Be it art, feather boas, a giant stuffed panda to guard the fire-extinguishers, a cigarette butt: you bring it, you take it with you.
Treat the venue with due respect, and treat each other with respect. This is a private party. The stories happening at the Ball are ours alone. Take pictures for yourself only and ask for consent before you shoot pictures. Do not publish photos taken at the event and do not use them commercially.
