DTH 40TH ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE CONCERT SERIES 2009/10
The series has attracted standing room only audiences and a unique up close and personal experience with the artists in DTHs Studio #3. The Studio seats 150. Along with performances by Dance Theatre of Harlem, an example of past guest artists and co-hosts include: the late Kitty Carlisle Hart, Ruby Dee Davis, the Cultural Explosion Dance Co., R & B male vocalist Chester Gregory, jazz vocalist Allan Harris, the Martha Graham Ensemble, jazz artist Andy Bey, Lotus Music and Dance, and many more. Immediately following the performance, audience members are invited to enjoy light refreshments and to meet the artists at a reception.
As part of DTHs 40th Anniversary Celebration, the Open House Series takes on special significant as we reaffirm our commitment to generating access to high quality performing arts at affordable ticket prices for the Harlem community, attracting new audiences and visitors to Harlem; and serving as an excellent platform to showcase both exciting new talent and established artists from a wide range of disciplines.
