Dead Writers SEASON TICKETS

Dead Writers is thrilled to present this seldom done Oscar Wilde classic about the dangers of assumption and power of love to overcome all obstacles.  This is a highly elaborate staging true to manner which Wilde would have wanted it staged in his time.  We utilize period perfect furniture and antiques in order to bring you into the world of Wilde's Victorian England.



Synopsis:

The play opens on Lady Windermere's 21 birthday.  The Duchess of Berwick delivers the devastating news that Lady Windermere's husband, to whom she has been married for 1 year and with whom she has a 6 month old baby, has been seen visiting another woman's home and spending large sums of money of money on her.  This is a "bad" woman with a past who, through her life choices, has been shunned from proper society has developed a reputation of preying on men.

Lady Windermere breaks into her husband's desk and finds proof of her suspicions with large written to this woman.

This sets into motion a series of events and misunderstandings that bring her to the brink of ruin and places in her path a mysterious woman with whom she unknowingly has a past.

Starring Collective Members Megan Delay as Lady Windermere and Joanna Riopelle as Mrs. Erlynne.
