This playwriting workshop is a deep dive into memory and the subconscious using your own personal experience. We will approach writing a play as an actor would approach performing a scene by mining memory and personal experience to get to your truth. Because so often what we remember of an event, person or era is evoked through sight, sound, smell, touch, we will write a play using specific imagery, sensation, action and event, as opposed to dialogue and talk.
In 90 minutes, Sara will guide you through building your "Memory House," after which point you'll have written a full play, a new kind of play, a play you didn't think you had in you.
All you need is a notebook and a pen.
