Te Fare O Tamatoa TAHITIAN Workshop
Te Fare O Tamatoa ("'The House of Tamatoa") is a non-profit organization comprised of members of all ages who share a love for Tahitian drumming, dance, music, history and culture. We teach Tahitian dance and drumming, with an emphasis on traditional style, to anyone who is interested in learning!
We are hosting a workshop on Saturday, September 27th to all levels age 10+, no experience required. Please arrive 15 minutes before your class.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
12:00 - 12:45pm | Language
12:45 - 1:45pm | Drumming
2:00 - 4:00pm | Dance
DANCE ATTIRE:
Females wear fitted athletic attire and a pareu/sarong if you have one. We will also have pareus for sale ($15-$35, cash/check only). Males wear athletic shorts (no pants) and a shirt.
