A Taste of Clackamas County: Farm Dinner Benefit for Schoolyard Farms
Come down to Schoolyard Farms' pilot farm at Candy Lane Elementary in Jennings Lodge on Saturday September 20th from 5-7pm to enjoy dinner on the farm and taste all that Clackamas County has to offer while helping Schoolyard Farms grow so more kids can learn where their food comes from and how to grow it.
Schoolyard Farms encourages healthy eating by teaching kids how to grow nutritious food that goes from their schoolyard to their plate. What better way to honor the delicious, local food grown in Clackamas County's backyard than by featuring the local restaurants and chefs that highlight its produce every day.
The meal will feature dishes from local restaurants that pride themselves in using locally sourced ingredients. The participating restaurants are Cha Cha Cha!, Nebbiolo, Allium Bistro and Singer Hill Cafe. Coffee will be provided by Happy Rock Coffee and wine from Cana's Feast Winery.
The evening will begin with tours of the farm and a silent auction packed with wonderful prizes from local businesses. Dinner will be served subsequently, followed by presentations from Schoolyard Farms.
Tickets for the event are $35 and include dinner and drinks.
Proceeds help support Schoolyard Farms' mission to build healthy communities by teaching kids how to grow nutritious food that goes from their schoolyard to their plate.
We have a limited number of tickets for this event, so be sure to get your tickets early. This is a 21 and older event.
This event takes place on a farm, so if you need special accommodations, please plan accordingly.
