Adapted and directed by Anne Hightower Wareing for her Senior Honors Thesis, "hamlet[redux]" abstracts Shakespeare's classic tragedy, preserves its poetry, and places it in a surreal world not too distant from our own...
Once upon a time somewhere, a boy named Hamlet loses his father and the world begins to crumble beneath his feet. This episodic work explores a loss of innocence in a world where prescription drugs are prescribed like candy, adults prefer their children silent, and behind every camera lens is someone watching - always watching.
