Barnaby Bright with the Justin Taylor Duo at The Homefront Music Series

The Homefront Music Series has a special event planned for on August 29, 2014 at 8 p.m. at the Wynfield Clubhouse - Barnaby Bright with the Justin Taylor Duo.

Nathan and Rebecca Bliss are the voices and the musical talent behind Barnaby Bright, the name of their duo taken from the medieval term for the summer solstice which dates to 17th century England. Since the release of their first album, 'Wake the Hero' in 2009, Barnaby Bright has garnered high accolades for their songwriting and sound. Grand prize winners of the NY Song Circle competition, Barnaby Bright's music has also been featured on national television. Notable for their toting their massive haul of instruments...multiple guitars, harmonium, banjo, ukulele, floorboard bass, thumb pianos and keyboards...to 200 shows over 40,000 miles a year, Barnaby Bright draws inspiration from literature, human behavior, experiences shared with the fascinating people they've encountered on the road as well as a hint of fantasy. Barnaby Bright embodies a classic vision of timeless indie folk rock in all its glory.

Justin Taylor and Jeremy Adams are the Justin Taylor Duo who will open for Barnaby Bright. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, and now living in the Charlotte area, Justin picked up his dad's acoustic guitar when he was 14 and taught himself to play. He has toured with a number of well known artists and as a session musician, garnering a number of songwriting awards. In live performances, Justin invites you into his story and moves you with his sincerity, his honest songs and his compelling guitar work. Jeremy Adams, who is often our concert series sound man, will round out the duo with his smoking saxophone. He has opened recently for George Thorogood and Jefferson Starship.
