Tech Stomp - TAG's Annual Industry Celebration and Scholarship Fundraiser
Join us on September 22 for our fifth annual industry celebration and scholarship fundraiser. Relax and mingle with tech-focused business and civic leaders while supporting the leaders of tomorrow in the beautiful setting of the Squalicum Boathouse. Net proceeds from Tech Stomp will go to the TAG Scholarship Fund, which grants scholarships to students in technology fields attending colleges in Whatcom County. This year we are pleased to invite is Dr. George 'Pinky' Nelson Hall of Fame Astronaut and Director of SMATE at WWU to provide the keynote.
Highlights:
* Address by Dr. George 'Pinky' Nelson, Educator and Astronaut * 2008 Scholarship stories by Paul Grey * Bocceball Tournament (random teams of 4) * Hawaiian shirt & Muumuu dress contest with prizes for style, substance and daring! * Live music by members of the Walrus * Wine and delicious hors d'oeuvres
Enjoy wine from Chuckanut Ridge, and delicious hors d'oeuvres from Fools Onion Catering while the Walrus entertains us with their tunes. Again this year Tech Stomp features the popular annual contest for the best Hawaiian outfits, shirts and muumuus, with prizes for style, substance and daring! Then plan to join your randomly assembled team of 4 for another outrageously competitive Bocce ball tournament from 6 to 8PM.
See you there - rain or shine, and don't forget your Hawaiian shirt/muumuu!
