Short North Walking Tour (October-December 2014)
Take a leisurely stroll with us through the Short North. Not just an Arts district and home to the Monthly Gallery Hop, the Short North also boasts a wealth of dining and shopping opportunities. The Short North is packed full of boutiques, fine dining and nightlife and this tour is designed to show off some of the best that the Short North and Columbus have to offer.
Our tour will start at the historic North Market, Columbus's only public market, where we will meet some of the vendors and learn the history of the market. We will stop at 6 establishments sampling some of their signature dishes and hearing their stories. Stops will include some neighborhood favorites, some highly regarded newer additions, some of the finest dining in the city and a couple of hidden gems. We will finish on a sweet note with a trip to the renowned Jeni's ice creams. You will have enough food along the way for lunch.
As we walk will also talk about the history of the neighborhood.
Tours start on Fridays and Saturdays at 11am, rain or shine. Please check the calendar for availability.
We meet at the NE corner of the market just outside the entrance by the Fish Guys.
Specific stops are subject to change.
Parking and directions: http://www.northmarket.com/directions-and-parking Normal parking rates and restrictions apply.
