Sal is aided on this weekend by Yevgeny (Sean Bempong) a depressed aspiring writer. Sal & Yevgeny travel to meet various clients in Manhattan & Brooklyn, & carry out their work on cases including dealing with a suspicious girlfriend (Jennifer Blakemore), a young couple with a dark secret (Clara Schmidt, Matthew R. Carney), and a wizard (David A. Steinberg). In between work on their cases Sal and Yevgeny discuss and debate aspects of Yevgeny's on going search for happiness and attempts to become a better individual. Breakthrough Weekend is a beautifully filmed celebration of the unusual, colorful spirit of New York City.
