Barry Stagg's "No More Mountains To Cross" CD Release Party
Make plans to attend this exciting special event featuring the music of Barry Stagg as he releases his newest CD "No More Mountains To Cross" featuring the Cashbox hit single "Private Edwin Jennison". Each song is a reflection of life's journey - beginning with "Private Edwin Jennison" and ending with "Drum Taps", you will find a common thread that exemplifies our mortality, our triumphs and our failures, but always with awareness that there is a bigger plan; always aware that with faith we emerge from darkness into the Light. This album is dedicated to all the men and women who go to war, not to conquer, but to make this world a safer or better place. This album is dedicated to Private Edwin Jennison - the Universal Soldier. Barry is a graduate of the Universite' de Montreal. He was raised in Montreal - the city in which he launched a most successful music career - writing, composing, and performing with a number of recording labels, including Gamma Records, United Artists, London Records, and RCA. An international writer and recording artist since 1969, Barry Stagg has shared the spotlight with such luminaries as Kenny Rogers, Anne Murray, Bobby Bare, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Denny Doherty of The Mamas and The Papas, and Merle Travis. His works range from Musical Theatre to Pop, Blues, Jazz, and Country. Barry's latest recording "No More Mountains To Cross" is an audio pastiche of his travels through life; travels which have culminated in his choice of the North Carolina mountains as a final place to settle. He describes this album as "... a good dose of Appalachia with a sprinkling of Uptown Country." Barry now makes his home in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, where his time is spent writing new music, seeking out the hidden treasures of the mountains, and, along with his wife, Barbara, promoting the NOSCO Academy of Theatre Arts, a professional youth theatre school now centered in Spruce Pine. This is an event you will NOT want to miss - an astounding performance you won't soon forget!
