Generation Sex Chicago- Summer 2014
In GENERATION SEX, Luna bares all without blushing as we explore how technology has transformed how women see themselves, relate to each other, and interact with sex and love. With the new rules of feminism promoting tragically outdated notions of femininity in 140 characters or less, the LunĂ¡ticas dissect heady topics like gender norms, crushing heteronormativity, and facebook feminism while making you laugh as they prance around in their unmentionables.

GENERATION SEX tackles questions like: What is the art of seduction in a digital world that leaves little to the imagination? Can we Instagram loneliness? When will it be possible to resist the lure of our photoshopped avatars and be our truest selves online? From one woman's quest to lose her virginity before 40 to a Crocodile Hunter-like journey through the vulva to a nouveau-Greek chorus extolling the benefits of the Diva Cup, the Ladies of Luna explode how hollow soundbytes and played out listicles shape today's quest for love and satisfaction through spoken word, sketch comedy, docu-theatre interview segments, animated shorts, song and dance numbers, and maybe even a special appearance by Mr. Robin Thicke himself.

The play is presented in English with a sprinkle of Spanish. Appropriate for ages 16+ only.

75 min.
