In collaboration with Mosner Family Brands, the Masarap Supper Club of New York is pleased to announce a new dining series, "Knife to Table". Master butcher Seth Mosner breaks down the art and science behind taking finely-sourced beasts from full sides to prime cuts, and beyond. Meanwhile, the chefs behind Masarap Supper Club bring the freshly carved products straight to the kitchen where they are prepared into a one-of-a-kind feast for you to enjoy during the demo.
About the menu: The following cuts and parts of the animal will be used to prepare the feast: ears, belly/bacon, spare & baby back ribs, fat back, bone in chops, skin, trotters, picnic shoulder, ham, sausage. Canapés and small plates will be served along side the pork dishes. Craft beers and signature cocktails are also included and will be offered during the demo and throughout the event.
About the chefs: The Masarap Supper Club of New York started as a one-man experiment in culinary curiosity. Now in its third year of throwing cheeky, ambitious, and exclusive dinner parties in New York, the chef trio of Norman, Rob, and Allister suffer from an inability to set boundaries. The crew is renowned for hosting dinners where thoughtful food, classic venues, and irreverent company have brought them to the forefront of the crowded NYC supper club arena. http://www.masarapnyc.com
About the butcher: With a bloodline in the meat industry, David Mosner founded Mosner Family Brands sixty years ago as a sole proprietorship, delivering and selling meat to his customers from the back of a used station wagon. Three generations later, Mosner has grown into an industry-leading purveyor of fine beef, lamb, veal, pork and game meats to New York City meat institutions such as Peter Luger's, Delmonico's, Wolfgang's and Keen's Steakhouse. Seth Mosner leads the highly coveted Art of Butchery classes at Mosner's Bronx, NY headquarters, which he wittingly describes as a "two and a half hour crash course" that typically costs hundreds of dollars to attend. http://www.mosnerfamilybrands.com
