Hi, KC friends! Get ready for FEARLESS VOICE Kansas City! I will be doing a Masterclass in my hometown of KC on May 22, 2014! Here's a rundown of what we'll do in the three-hour session. First of all, I will let you in on my sure-fire-10-minute-all-inclusive WARM UP. As one of my first voice teachers used to say, "Don't leave your voice in the dressing room!" This warmup is short, sweet, and leaves you totally warmed up and ready in about 10 minutes. No lie. Once you have mastered it, it also helps you manage nerves, improve breath and support and hone intonation to tackle different genres. All from a 10-minute warmup? Yes, my little chickens. I will also impart audition wisdom, articulation tips for making the most of your sound, and a host of other little secrets I've learned from 30+ years in la show biz! And to think, it all started for me at Shawnee Mission East, Shawnee Mission Park, and dinner theatre in KC! Then, I will work with each participant and address individual needs to give you a roadmap for improving your overall performance! (You can learn SO MUCH from watching fellow participants, btw.) We also laugh a lot and don't take it all too seriously...well, we work hard, but it's super fun. I am happy to work with ALL LEVELS of singer/performer.

It is $100 per participant, $25 for auditors (you can learn so much from watching this class for the price of a couple of lunches at Winstead's) so come sing Nancy Opel grew up in the Kansas communities of Prairie Village and Leawood, and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. She was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her performance as "Penelope Pennywise" in Urinetown.
