A Farewell Concert for Kelly Takunda Orphan
Singer, percussionist, songwriter and music minister Kelly Takunda Orphan is stepping down after seven years of service at First Congregational Church of Oakland. Kelly will be conducting the two church choirs, Voices of Praise and the Joyful Noise Youth Choir, and will be performing with members of her band, the KTO Project. Many other special guests include Trente Morant, Sista Monica and the Gospel and Inspirational Choir and more! FCCO's band is led by Peter Meredith, piano and musical director; Saul Sierra, bass; Silvestre Martinez, drums and Anthony "Tru" Peterson on guitars. Get ready to dance to inspirational and praise music: from Zimbabwean mbira to salsa to gospel! Reception to follow.
