HOOD World Premiere Movie Event
World Premiere of HOOD! It's a full length Indie film addressing the issues of the Chicago drug, gang, & gun violence flooding our streets. The film also brings to light the topics of food deserts, the hardships of no work, and some Chicago politics too! The writer Michael Lansu has taken a really interesting spin in this film to capture the audiences' attention, and keeps the action flowing throughout! The film stars Malik Yoba (from "Cool Runnings", "NY Undercover", Tyler Perry's "Why Did I get Married 1&2") Matt Singletary, Curley Boo Johnson (Harlem Globe Trotters, Founder of Boo Camp for kids), Chris Corres, Mahogany Monae, & Darren Jones.
For VIP Attendees, the Hollywood Casino in Aurora is pulling out the red carpet also! The doors open in the private Producer's Lounge (3rd floor of the casino)at 4:00pm for the FIRST 200 VIPs TO ARRIVE, including a lavish spread with carving stations, a full bar with very generous drink specials, as well as entertainment. Then the doors open at 5:00pm across the street at the beautiful, historical Paramount Theater. As a VIP you have the opportunity to come and reserve your seating before the doors open for the general public at 6:15, and enjoy a drink with short lines! Also there will be photo opportunities with some of the cast, meet and greets with the director and producers, and live music by Dave Byron. Your ticket will also include a $25 meal voucher to head back to the casino after the film and enjoy their buffet!
General admission has it's perks too! Entry begins at 6:15pm with the film starting at 7:15pm. The Paramount provides 3 full cash bars & and will also have popcorn! There will be live music by Dave Byron until show time. Also your ticket will include a $25 voucher to head across the street after the movie for the famous Hollywood Casino's buffet! The Casino will also be raffling off some cast signed "Hood" keepsakes! But don't forget to take a moment to grab a picture or a hand shake with some of the actors & the director before you go!
