Portland, Maine's own Jason Spooner Band (Jason Spooner - guitar & vocals, Reed Chambers - Drums & Percussion and Adam Frederick - Bass & vocals, Warren Mcpherson - Keyboards & vocals) is in the midst of one of the band's most exciting musical growth spurts to date.  The band's latest studio album Sea Monster has been featured heavily on Sirius/XM's The Loft channel, on NPR's All Things Considered and at over 11,000 Starbucks retail locations nationwide.  At last year's festival the band's unique blend of roots, blues, funk and folk made dancing irresistible. Toward the end of the show, the entire audience was on its feet, yet a cross-breeze coming up from the river kept the barn cool. The band's website, The Jason Spooner Band, provides additional background on their award-winning sound.

The Beat Horizon, will open for The Jason Spooner Band. Formed in 2007, The Beat Horizon combines diverse musical influences to create a unique, high-energy sound. Funk, soul, reggae, ska, hip-hop, latin, afrobeat and straight ahead rock & roll all find their way into the mix. The core of the band is made up of performing veterans Dave Butts, Greg Goodwin, Tim Myers and Jojo Calavera. Danceable grooves and themes of social awareness/unity are a common thread throughout their original music, and feature heavily on their two album releases, "Gotta Come Together!" (2008) and "Through the Door" (2013). Whether sharing a large stage with a national touring act, or packed into an intimate club, The Beat Horizon never fails to get a crowd on its feet and moving. See more information at The Beat Horizon.

Maine's own David Mallett is a folk icon of world renown. In addition to being featured on his fourteen albums, Mallett's pen has provided material for an eclectic list of artists that includes Pete Seeger, Alison Kraus, Emmylou Harris, Kathy Mattea, John Denver and the Muppets. His tune, The Garden Song, is one of America's most popular folk songs, having been recorded more than 150 times and sung around the globe. He has toured consistently in folk clubs, concert halls and festivals for thirty years. David Mallett.

This year two Maine singer/songwriters will open the show back to back for Mallett Heather Hardy and Anna Pillsbury.

Winner of the 2013 Maine Songwriting Competition and 2nd place winner of the 2012 New England Songwriting Contest, Heather Hardy is a singer-songwriter living in Bristol, Maine. She plays guitar and baritone ukulele, and has a blast playing her guitar like a stand-up bass. Heather blends her unique voice with rich melodies, often highlighting mouth trumpet instrumentals in her songs. Heather is co-host of the DRA Round Top Coffee House in Damariscotta, and teaches songwriting, guitar and ukulele for all ages. Learn more about Hardy at  Heather Hardy.

Anna Pillsbury is a natural-born songwriter and new talent on the rise in the local Maine music scene. With a soothing, intimate voice and an acoustic guitar, her original songs combine a perfect blend of honesty, humor, and charm that are both fun and empowering to listen to. Her music draws inspiration from folk pop as well as the singer/songwriter genre and is brimming with catchy melodies and witty lyrical content that make her style unique. Find out more about Pillsbury at Anna  Pillsbury.

The Mallett Brothers Band is an alt-country/rock band from Portland, Maine. Drawing from an array of influences including rock and roll, folk, blues, bluegrass, neo-traditional and classic country and even punk, MBB are known for high-intensity live performances. They were nominated for "Best Emerging Artist" of 2011 by Deli Magazine, Boston, and "Best Band/Act in Maine" in the 2011 New England Music Awards. Find out more at The Mallett Brothers Band.
