Celebration of
Sierra Stories: Tales of Dreamers,
Schemers, Bigots and Rogues
The newest publication of Heyday Books and Sierra College Press

When?Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Noon
Where? The Empire Mine State Historic Park
10791 East Empire Street
Grass Valley
 
Cost?  $25 per person (Price includes admission to the park, lunch, a guided tour of the Empire Mine grounds and a signed copy of Sierra Stories: Tales of Dreamers, Schemers, Bigots and Rogues   a $43 value for only $25)

The celebration will include:
A traditional miner's lunch at the Empire Mine Clubhouse
Cornish pastie (your choice of beef, chicken or veggie), cole slaw, beverages, ice cream/cookies -- A pastie is a baked meal pie with a flaky crust
Served by park volunteers in period costume
A guided tour of the Empire Mine grounds
90 minute tour led by an expert tour guide
Tour includes the Empire Mine Bourn Cottage (the mine owner's mansion) and the mineyard
A short presentation by
Joe Medeiros, Editor-in-Chief of Sierra College Press
Malcolm Margolin, Publisher of Heyday Books
Gary Noy, author of Sierra Stories
And a signed copy of Sierra Stories
