TAG luncheon 'Story of Tech Startup LiquidPlanner' on April 17
Dear Members & Guests:
Join us on Friday, April 17 to hear the story of LiquidPlanner the first and only online project management software to incorporate ranged estimates and statistical probability to deliver schedules that can be trusted.
Watching some of the smartest people in the industry struggle with managing process and projects led two former senior managers at Expedia.com, both experienced technologists, to the realization that dramatically better tools were needed to address todays project realities. Within the eye of that brainstorm, the idea for LiquidPlanner was born. LiquidPlanner has come a long way since its inception in 2006 and was recently named finalist in the category 'breakthough startup of the year' at the 2009 WTIA Industry Achievement Awards. LiquidPlanner also received a vote of confidence from our local Bellingham Angels who are amongst the financial supporters of LiquidPlanner.
We are pleased to have Bruce Henry recently Director of Rocket Science at LiquidPlanner and now advisor share his 'war stories' and lessons learned for this tech startup. Bruce will talk about the team, learning about sales and consultants, the pricing decisions made, and the features that were built for each step, all in the context of LiquidPlanner's evolving vision for the product.
In parallel with the evolution of the team (now 10 people), the product and target markets have evolved. LiquidPlanner have steadily moved from the small team/self-service model, to the mid-sized inside sales model, to the present model of going after professional services and looking for strategic partnerships.
This will be a popular meeting so please register as soon as possible.
Date and Time: Friday, April 17 from 12:00 - 1:15 pm. We encourage you to show up early (11:30AM) to network. Location: DIS Building, 1315 Cornwall Avenue, Bellingham, WA Cost: Members $10, Non-Members $15. Lunch included.
