Sexylesque Group Performance Workshop!
For the first time ever, we are going to feature a mini-burlesque course for a small group to perform at the Sexylesque show! If you're not familiar with Sexylesque by Roxy Star, it is a 5 week workshop in which women learn how to perform solo routines, then they take the stage for the very first time as burlesque queens. But maybe you're not quite ready to go it alone? Well, here's your chance to taste the sweetness of doing a strip tease on stage with the comfort of other women doing the same with you.
I will teach you a routine, along with the important specialty techniques that are true vintage burlesque! You'll practice at home, and you are encouraged to schedule time with the other girls to meet up and rehearse together. Martini's anyone?
You will need a costume of course, and we will discuss that on Day 1. Plan to budget for a costume, but don't worry, I will keep it VERY affordable. Half the fun of burlesque is making champagne costumes on a beer budget! You may even have some things lying around that would work. You can count on gloves, stockings and boas being part of the fun!I will also teach you some basic hair and makeup techniques that you will use for the show. Think glitter!
The show is August 20th, yes Easter, what can I say? It's a rock star way to give up Lent! So come on, show me how you burlesque!
Limited opportunity - only 5 spots are available!!! Attendance at class/rehearsals and show are mandatory. When people are counting on your boobies to be there, they better be! We will meet 3 times, on weeknights, at 7pm. Thur 4/10, Mon 4/14, Thur 4/17. Leave the day of the 20th free and clear so you can focus totally on your show that night.
Bonuses include access to the Sexylesque photo shoot scheduled in April. Discounted hair and makeup services the day of the show (if you wish to take part.)There will also be a photographer and videographer at the show so if you want to purchase either of those, you'll have the option but you can decline as well. Prices are affordable on those as well.
Workshop requires a minimum of 3 students to run, so you will be refunded if we don't meet our minimum. No refunds once workshop is purchased. Ready, set, glitter!
