Anastasia Dedik, Pianist, in Sonoma
Russian-American pianist Anastasia Dedik returns to Sonoma on Sunday, April 13, 2014,when she performs in concert at Vintage House Sonoma, 264 First Street East, at 3:00 pm.

Ms. Dedik premiered in Sonoma in 2012, thrilling audiences with superb renditions of Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt, for which she received a standing ovation. Next month, she will perform an all-Russian program, featuring the Summer Fairy from Prokofiev's ballet "Cinderella," Rachmaninov's Etude-Tableaux op. 33 in e-flat minor and Op. 39 in F sharp minor, selections from Mikhel Pletnev's arrangement of Tchaikovsky' The Nutcracker, and after intermission, Moussorgsky's monumental Pictures at an Exhibition, originally written for piano. Tickets for this concert, sponsored by the Sonoma Classical Music Society, are $25 for adults, $20 for members of the Society, and $10 for students, and may be obtained from www.sonomaclassical.org; from Readers Books, Pharmaca, Vintage House, and at the door.

Anastasia Dedik is Founder and Artistic Director of the "Russian Heritage" Piano Competition for young pianists in St. Petersburg. She has performed on some of the most important concert stages in the world, including the Kennedy Center, Washington, DC, as well as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, L'Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, the Paganini Conservatory in Genoa, Italy, the Teatro Communale San Remo, Italy, as well as in the Great Philharmonic Hall, St. Petersburg, the Rachmaninoff Hall in Moscow, and on NDR TV and Radio, Germany's premier TV and Radio broadcasting station. She is a first-prize winner of the 2001 "Ennio Porrino" International Piano Competition, Italy; the 2005 Russian International Piano Competition, the 2006 Lee Biennial Piano Competition USA, the 2006 Rovero d'Oro International Piano Competition, Italy, the 2007 Bueno and Bradshaw International Piano Competition, USA, the 2007 Asti International Piano Competition, Italy, the 2009 New York Concert Artists & Associates International Piano Competition, and the 2010 Bosendorfer International Piano Competition, Tempe, Arizona.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear the rarely performed Pictures at an Exhibition, one of the most challenging works in the piano literature, performed by a consummate artist with extraordinary talent, when Anastasia Dedik performs in concert at Vintage House Sonoma on Sunday, April 13. See you there!

The final concert in the Sonoma Classical Music Society's 2014 spring series will take place at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards on Sunday, May 11, 2014, Mothers Day, when Sonoma's own Nigel Armstrong will return to perform in concert with Miles Graber at the piano. This will be Nigel's only performance in Sonoma this year, so don't miss it!
