Maestro's Favorites
This last concert of the 2013-2014 season will offer beautiful music to celebrate the coming of Spring after a hard winter. Mozart's Piano Concerto No 23 in A Major, K. 488 will be skillfully presented by pianist Chungwon Chung to start the concert. Barber's lovely Adagio for Strings, Op. 11 will be followed by Shostakovich's lively Festive Overture, Op. 96. The concert will conclude with a flourish, Rimsky-Korskov's Russian Easter Festival Overture, Op. 36.
