BRIDGE OF ALOHA
Saturday May 3, 2014 Northwest Hawaii Ohana presents their 3rd annual Bridge of Aloha Festival, at the Ferndale Event Center from 10:00 am  7:00 pm.

The "Bridge of Aloha" festival focused on honoring the Hawaiian culture from afar, is all about connecting the bridge with other cultural groups in the Pacific Northwest.

An all day celebration of Live entertainment of Hawaiian Music featuring Elias Kauhane, Jus Us Hawaiian, Northwest Blend,  Ho Aloha. Hula & Polynesian Dance Performances by Halau Hula O Lono, Hula O Lehualani and featuring Northwest Hawaii Ohana Dance Company Ho`ike. A special invitation extended to include our Canadian neighbors from across the border, featuring Paul Latta Polynesian Dance Company and Na Leo Kani 'O Hawaii.  Come listen and dance to Island Reggae music, featuring Unified Culture, Five Island Boys, rooted from the Hawaiian Islands, a tough and hard hitting original reggae band currently playing out of Seattle.

Raffle drawings throughout the day, Activities for the Keiki (Children) along with Arts & Crafts vendor booths and Ono Hawaii Kine Food!!. Cultural Workshops: Hula for all ages, fresh Plumeria Lei Making, Ukulele, Hot Hula Fitness, Talk stories; "The Aloha Spirit" an integral part of Island Style, The Travels of the Hokulea and featuring "Haka Okaheiti" "The Ancient Dances of Tahiti" workshop by Paul Tavai-Latta.  A sought after educator and presenter of Traditional, 'old school' Ma'ohi ( Polynesian) studies, dance and entertainment in Canada.

A fun filled cultural celebration for the entire family.

Northwest Hawai'i 'Ohana is a 501 c(4) non-profit organization who is about sharing the Aloha Spirit in the Northern Region of Washington State, in Whatcom and Skagit Counties.  Their mission is to preserve, honor and perpetuate the unique blend of cultures found throughout the Hawaiian Islands

Gather your family and friends spend the day and experience the Aloha Spirit !!

Note: General Admission is a separate fee and must be purchased, when participating in the workshops.
